9. Box on tree stump in forest
This box is usually occupied by great tits. In 2001 there was a nest, but probably no eggs. On 22 October 2001 I opened the box and closed it immediately when seeing a frightened mouse living in a nest made from dry leaves. On 11 May 2002 a great tit was breeding. On 18 May naked young. On 26 May young calling. On 21 June I checked the box. Unfortunately all young deceased, probably caused by a lack of food in June 2002. In 2003 and 2004 the box was empty In July 2009 the tree stump fell down destroying the box.
